It's a safe choice recommending the
Chick "N" Deli as Toronto's leading "live entertainment nightclub". For over 10 years this Toronto institution has attracted lineups.  They were the first restaurant which attracted huge crowds in for their Tuesday half-price chicken wings (they also offer these wings Mondays).  Their secret is really quite simple. They offer well priced foods and cocktails with excellent musicians performing Rock and Jazz cover songs.

Their crowd is more mature (than the 18 to 25 entertainment districts dance club crowd) with ages ranging from about 25 to about 55.  This is not the most stylish club by any stretch, more similar in layout to a neighborhood pub than a downtown club.  The atmosphere is very informal with dress ranging from after work business suits to casual attire.  People visit this club for many reasons ranging from the Monday and Tuesday half-price wings to the great entertainment to meeting people.  This is not necessarily a place to see can be seen but rather a place where the entertainment is first-rate, the prices are reasonable and you just might happen to meet some interesting people.  If you find the lineups to large, then an excellent second choice is the St. Louis located on the west side of Young Street between Davisville and Eglinton Avenue.

How could the chicken deli be improved:

Perhaps the Monday and Tuesday half-price wings could be extended past nine o'clock This should be an easy act for other restaurants to follow but competitors have trouble with the execution.
